Verdict - Powerful Political Entertainer.

Starring : Mahesh Babu, Kiara Advani

Director : Koratala Siva

Producer : DVV Danayya

Music Director : Devi Sri Prasad

Cinematographer : Ravi K. Chandran

Editor : A. Sreekar Prasad

'Bharath Ane Nenu' is a much awaited movie, Mahesh babu, the powerful and charismatic hero once again collaborating with Koratala Siva after the blockbuster hit Srimanthudu. Ace music director Devisri Prasad’s music already topping the charts. This film has hit the screens today. Let's talk about the movie.

Bharath(Mahesh Babu), who graduates in the UK hears about the sudden death of his father(Sarath Kumar) who is the chief minister of the united Andhra Pradesh state. Leaving things behind, he rushes back to India. Upon his arrival, he is forced by his uncle(Prakash Raj) to fill his father’s shoes as the chief minister of the state. Bharath takes up this deadly challenge only to find out several loopholes in the system. How Bharath operates in his own style as a CM and brings a good change in the society is the remaining part of the story.

Analysis :

Mahesh Babu has done a superb job in this movie and he shoulders the movie admirably well. His sheer force and powerful screen presence is the biggest asset for the movie and koratala Siva’s powerful political dialogues have worked well when uttered by Mahesh Babu. He has also showcased his humorous side quite well.

In the current political climate of the state, some scenes will strike a chord. For example, "Media Press Meet" scene etc. evoked a superb response from viewers. Kiara Advani looks gorgeous. Prakash Raj has done a good job as the party head politician. Some of the most important and inspiring scenes in the film are written for Mahesh who excels in most of them with aplomb. But for every leader there has to be an equally strong rival and there is no such role in this film, it looks like Bharat's one man show.

Koratala Siva has once again proved that he believes more in story and characters rather than heroes and their images. Most of the story and scenes in the movie reminds you about the present politics and leaders in the state. Koratala Siva has drawn out characters and their behaviors from our regular politicians and he almost succeeds in it. In his part of story telling, he was racy in first half with enough political drama while second half is balanced with some lengthy scenes and some major highlight scenes. Koratala Siva is real winner when it comes to his most heart touching dialogues. Cinematography by Ravi K. Chandran was good while editing by Sreekar Prasad was right in tandem with the story. Music by Devi Sri Prasad was extraordinary and coming to background it gives a significant punch and Production values are high and rich.

Plus points :

* Mahesh's career best performance.

* Interval bang is terrific.

* Posani, Rao Ramesh and remaining popular actors have done their best.

* Highlight scenes in the second half.

Minus points :

* Predictable climax

* The length of the film is also a too long

* Comedy lover's will get disappointed.

Verdict : It’s good to see that a top director has chosen to deal with politics in his films and kudos to top actor Mahesh for this honest and brave attempt. First half of the movie is very good and sets the right platform for the story to take-off. The built-up scenes of hero as CM are very well written and directed. On a whole, 'Bharat Ane Nennu' is a noble attempt to do an idealistic movie. More over we can call it as a super hit film. Watch this weekend you would surely love this political potboiler. We have to wait and see how many new records it will set at the box office.
